Yes...we win Gold again with a little help from our friends from Thornbridge Brewery.

Last year we were the first chocolate business to make some handmade truffles flavoured with Thornbridge Brewery's award winning Jaipur IPA.

We thought they were that good that we entered them for the Great Taste Awards 2009.

I can now confirm that they won a Gold.

Stephano and Kelly liked what we produced and have returned the compliment by producing a 3.5% Mild flavoured with chocolate and mandarin called ....COCOADANCE.

I know I promise everybody...but when I get 'my finger out' I'll make available more of our chocolates on-line which can only be purchased at the moment if you are lucky enough to see us at a show or farmers' market.
Chocolates like the Jaipur IPA truffle, Rhubarb and Rhubarb & Nettle Jelly, Lemon Jelly and Advocaat...they will all be made available.

Cocoadance 'Chocolate Experience' gets Bronze in the East Midlands Enjoy England Excellence Awards 2008/09

After a lovely meal and lots of wine we finally found out that we were awarded Bronze in the final of the Tourism Experience category of the East Midlands Enjoy England Excellence Awards.

We were up against Launde Abbey and the Buxton Festival...so we didn't do too bad to say the 'experience' is only part of all the work we do. We had a great time on the night..that good that we managed to misplace our award!

Even though only a few people can enjoy our talk at a time it really can be described as an 'experience'....not to be forgotten.

Wild Foods-foraging is the way forward

Autumn is an excellent time to go foraging for wild food. This is all part of our plan to start using seasonal as well as local ingredients in some of our confectionery to make it truly local ...something from the Peak District National Park. We are pleased to announce a new range of chocolates available to buy on-line . These truffles only have a short shelf life of a week or two and will contain local ingredients found in the Peak District such as butter, cream, milk and eggs. We shall also add ingredients which grows around us locally, therefore giving our chocolates a more seasonal element. Examples of this are hawthorn, rose hip, bilberries etc. Pictured left are wild rose hips, elderberries and rowan berries. We feel this is a really exciting addition to our range and hope you get the chance to taste them.
